He never mentioned it to me, maybe it hurts too much. This guy did A LOT of work on this truck. My purchase price of $8500 is quite the deal for equipment on it alone, now I have seen how much personal time he put into it. If I didn’t go poking around I would never have seen these, it’s cool to have any additional documentation of the vehicle. He also made updates with the photos so I can read what exactly he was doing.

Nice! It’s a little sad that he didn’t share that with you before - clearly a labor of love, and I bet you’re right - it just hurt too much.

I didnt see that but they come up from fire service like mine did. They generally need a good going over but this one looks like they started that and it wasn’t too bad. That top with the rectangular window is a later top, doesn’t match the year of the truck. The tops were not made for them, they are concerted deuce tops. The Canadian trucks had rectangular windows as well. Top is worth a couple grand alone.
